Villanova, BEN-FM Spotted Together

• Beasley Media Group Adult Hits WBEN (95.7 BEN FM)/Philadelphia has been named as the new radio flagship for all Villanova football and basketball games for the 2020-2021 season. The games had been heard in recent years on sister WTEL-AM (610 ESPN), but that platform recently disappeared when Beasley leased it to iHeartMedia as the new local home of iHeart’s BIN: Black Information Network.

Under the terms of the new one-year deal, BEN-FM will air the entire Villanova basketball season beginning in November (details TBA in the upcoming weeks). Ryan Fannon and Whitey Rigsby return for their 23rd season together as the voices of Wildcat basketball in 2020-21. Fannon and Kevin Reilly will call all the Wildcat football action.

“After carrying Villanova on 610 ESPN in recent years, we’re excited to move Nova sports over to 95.7 BEN FM,” said Joe Bell, VP/Market Manager of Beasley Media Group Philadelphia. “Our motto at BEN is ‘Playing Anything We Feel Like,’ and we feel like playing some Villanova games! It will be a great season for Villanova sports.” No less thrilled and/or excited is BEN-FM PD Chuck Damico, who added, “We’re thrilled to add Villanova football and basketball to 95.7 BEN FM this year. It’s an honor to deliver these games to their passionate fans and alumni!”

Drew Young, VP/GM of Villanova Sports Properties remarked, “We are very excited to have a new flagship home for the Villanova Athletics radio broadcasts with 95.7 BEN FM. The affiliation with BEN FM expands our reach in the Delaware Valley and gives the Nova Nation a prominent new home on the FM dial.”
