Visa Charges Into Fresno

• iHeartMedia promotes from within, naming company veteran Angel “Visa” Jarquin as the new Program Director of Rhythmic KBOS (B95)/Fresno, effective immediately. That position had been occupied by Steve Weed, former SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Central California, who recently announced his retirement from radio and is currently travelling in Europe. Visa earns the transfer and upgrade from sister KDON/Monterey, where he has served as APD/MD and afternoon personality since April 2013. He began his career with iHeartMedia as an intern in San Francisco.

Visa will report to Tony Matteo, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Central California and Nevada, who remarked, “Angel’s incredible track record of success and his experience in the format make him an ideal fit to spearhead this market-leading brand in Fresno. We’re excited to bring his energy to the B95 team.”

Visa commented, “I’ve always had the mentality that if you work hard and put your mind to something you can achieve anything. I am beyond excited to be the new Program Director for the legendary KBOS. KBOS has a successful winning track record year after year and I can’t wait to take things to… the next level™. I want to thank iHeartMedia for this amazing opportunity — it’s go time.”
