Where There’s Hope, There’s Luck

Hope Media Group welcomes Tate Luck as its new Director of Audio Streaming. Luck has served as a programming consultant and talent coach at Tate Luck Media in Jacksonville, FL since 2015 and has written and produced imaging for stations across the country, including KXBS (Boost 95-5)/St. Louis and Houston-based NGEN Radio. He also consulted WCVO (104.9 The River)/Columbus, OH from 2016 through 2019 and helped develop the station’s on-air talent, including morning duo Mary and Josh, and midday personality Laura Chase.

Shawn Farrington, Chief of Innovation with Hope Media Group, remarked, “I’ve worked with Tate for the past four years. His ear for texture, and strength as a talent coach has helped NGEN Radio grow as an all-digital brand. Tate is among the best imaging producers in our industry. I’m looking forward to working with Tate to innovate on the digital streaming formats to create even more (future) experiences of God’s transforming love.”

Blind from birth, Luck landed his first on-air gig at the age of 13, and by 22 was PD of Christian AC WNOW/Charlotte. He helped launch Christian AC 91.9 WECM/Charlotte in 1993, and in 1996 launched the first ever full-time Christian CHR/Rock station, WUFM (Radio U)/Columbus. In 2000 Luck debuted the first Christian CHR online station, ACAZA.com, which was part of the Clear Channel Interactive Group.

Luck said, “I’m excited and honored to join this fantastic team in a capacity where I get to continue sharing messages of hope and encouragement with our now generation.”
