Who Is ‘She?’ Yes She Is.
• Christa Williams, the self-described “She-EO” of Country Content has launched an all-female streaming channel, aptly dubbed “She.” Williams remarked, “She plays Country’s greatest hits, the current stars, album cuts plus independent and un-signed singer songwriters. After our soft-launch, we’ll add ‘She-Jays,’ artist interviews, album specials and invite guest hosts to sit in.”
Williams, who is married to Paul Williams, VP of Marketing & Artist Development, Reviver Entertainment Group has been writing, recording and producing radio specials, liners and spots for record labels and artists for the past eight years. In her not-so-spare free time she also books singer/songwriters gigs at Nashville-area at clubs and festivals.
RAMP caught up with Williams, who shared her excitement over her new venture, telling us, “Honestly, putting this project together has been nothing short of amazing. I’m so excited to see this grow from a conversation about how cool it would be to have an all-female station to an actual reality. There are so many fantastic female artists! Rediscovering the classics and discovering some of the unsigned singer songwriters has been a blast, and the response from the launch has been overwhelming. ‘She’ is going to do some great things!”
“She” is being carried on the TuneIn app and is available online at WorldwideShe.com. Ideally, this programming will be made available for terrestrial stations that need HD2 and Low Power FM content.
