WTMJ Turns PM Drive To Maxx

• Good Karma Brands’ Newsradio 620 WTMJ/Milwaukee welcomes market veteran Sandy Maxx aboard as the new co-anchor of the station’s iconic Wisconsin’s Afternoon News, joining host John Mercure, Sports Director Greg Matzek, and Traffic Reporter Debbie Lazaga weekdays from 3-6pm, starting Monday, Dec, 12.

Ms. Maxx is a well-known presence in the Milwaukee market, having spent the past eight years across the street on Saga Classic Rock 96.5 WKLH, preceded by a stint at Audacy Hot AC WMYX. She’s also worked at Alpha Media Active Rock 95.1 WIIL-FM/Kenosha, The Eighties Channel in Chicago, and has done marketing at radio stations in Chicago and Atlanta. Outside of radio, Maxx has also served as the in-game host for the Milwaukee Brewers (2003-07); the Milwaukee Wave (2003-07, 2015-20); and the PA announcer for Marquette University women’s basketball and volleyball teams (2003-07, 2015-20). Since 2012, she has hosted the Emmy-Award winning The Arts Page on Milwaukee PBS.
