Norfolk Wakes Up With Jen & Jhas

• Max Media AC WVBW (92.9 The Wave)/Norfolk is counting down to Monday’s launches of a new live and local all-female morning show — The Jen & Jhas Show.

The newly constructed show is hosted by Jen Lewis (left), who moves up from middays to mornings, teaming up with Jhas Williams-Wood (right), who most recently worked for Delmarva Classic Hits WAVD (97.1 The Wave)/Salisbury-Ocean City, MD and Top 40 WAFL (Eagle 97.7)/Dover, DE.

Lewis famously spent spent 19 years at Country clustermate WGH-FM (97.3 The Eagle) as co-host of the popular Jimmy Ray and Jen Morning Show. In 2015, she made the transition to television, joining WAVY TV10/Fox 43 as traffic anchor, weekly midday news anchor, special projects reporter and Hampton Roads Show contributor. She returned to The Wave to do middays in March of this year.

“Just when I thought my morning show days were over, I met Jhas,” said Lewis. “She’s a bright, talented and beautiful woman. I can’t wait for the 92.9 The Wave listener family to get to know her. I’m also looking forward to breaking ground on a female-driven show. Count on it being fun, thoughtful and informative.” Williams-Wood said, “I’m so looking forward to becoming a part of Max Media’s family and beyond grateful for the opportunity to be welcomed into the homes and cars of our listener friends.”

Effective Monday, June 10, here is 92.9 The Wave’s new weekday lineup — 5:30-10am: The Jen & Jhas Show; 10am-3pm: Rusty James; 3-7pm Dino; 7pm-midnight: Delilah.
