André Gardner Pretty Much Permanent
• Sending our best wishes to André Gardner, a beloved fixture on Beasley Classic Rock WMGK/Philadelphia for the past two decades, who isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. As evidenced by the trio of smiles in this photo, Gardner shared his good news in a Facebook post that reads, “So excited to let you know I have just signed a multi-year contract extension to continue being your afternoon host on 102.9 MGK. What an honor it is to play you this music we love so much!”
Prior to joining WMGK back in 2002, Gardner spent eight years in various positions with the late WXRK (92.3 K-Rock)/New York, including APD/MD, PD, Production Director. Other notable stops include a bunch of notable Philly stations like WYSP, WZGO (Z106), WSNI and WIFI, as well as KZEW and KEGL/Dallas, and WPST/Trenton, to name a few.
