Angelina Awarded Nights At Wild 94-9/SF

• iHeartMedia Top 40 KYLD (Wild 94-9)/San Francisco promotes from within and names Angelina Narvaez as the station’s new night-time personality. She succeeds Crystal Rosas, who recently earned the cross-country transfer to Z100/New York to co-host afternoon drive with Maxwell.

Narvaez (pictured) first joined the Wild 94-9 promotions team in 2018 and worked her way into an on-air capacity, and by May 2019 was hosting the station’s Saturday Night Street Party. In making the formal announcement, PD Mark Adams said, “We had some terrific submissions from around the country, but Angelina’s talent, charisma, and passion, coupled with her intimate knowledge of both the station and the market really helped her stand out and land this well deserved promotion. I know she’ll do a an amazing job for us at night on Wild.”

And there’s more to Angelina’s story — in a staff memo, Adams said, “Over the past year she’s expanded her roles into coverage for multiple shifts including evenings, and has also been doing on-air work for both our national Format Center and Custom programming teams. I’d also be remiss in not mentioning her other positive contributions for our SF team. In addition to her programming roles, she’s been a key player in our business operations. From the front desk, to assisting promotions and engineering, to assisting sales and essential in-office employees during the pandemic, she’s kind of done it all. And always with a smile and a positive attitude.”

A clearly energized Angelina remarked, “Being on the radio has been my dream since I was a kid; getting the opportunity to be on the station I grew up listening to is such a huge honor! The Bay Area is my home and I can’t wait to show up for it every night.”
