Astra’s Back On NYC Radio

• Nice to hear Astra back on the air again in the Tri-State area, as she has been hired to do weekends and fill-in on iHeartMedia’s WKTU/New York. Astra most recently did afternoon drive on CBS Radio Top 40 WBMP (92.3 AMP Radio)/New York until November 2017, when the Entercom-CBS Radio merger was consummated and the station flipped to Alternative as ALT 92.3. Before joining CBS Radio New York in September 2014, Ms. Astra spent a nearly a decade with Cox Media Group Top 40 WBLI/Long Island doing nights, and later, middays.

RAMP spoke to Rob Miller, who doubles as iHeartMedia Hot AC Brand Manager and PD of WKTU, and he told us, “I’ve watched Astra grow over the past decade into an incredible talent. ‘KTU has always been the station that caters to the beautiful diversity of people in New York City… so it’s only fitting that we add a hometown girl who is living out her dream to our all-star lineup.”
