Freddy Ready To Drive Dallas Home

Freddy Rivera has been named afternoon drive personality for iHeartMedia Hot AC KDMX (102.9 Now)/Dallas-Ft. Worth, effective February 5. He succeeds Kannon, who exits. Rivera earns the drivetime upgrade from sister KIIS-FM/Los Angeles, where he’s done the late night show for the past four years.

“Freddy is an outstanding on-air talent and we are very fortunate to add him to our line up,” said Jay Shannon, PD of 102.9 Now. “Freddy is very much looking forward to calling DFW his home.”

Born in Los Angeles, Rivera started his radio career as an intern for the legendary Rick Dees. He later worked as a producer gig on SiriusXM, and then landed his first on-air opportunity on KGGI/Riverside. Rivera stays connected with his listeners on social media, and even has his own food-dedicated Instagram page: @freddylovesfood! “I’m very excited to write the next chapter in my radio career with 102.9 Now in Dallas-Fort Worth,” said Rivera. “I’ve heard so much about the food, nightlife and community. I can’t wait to jump right in.”
