BIG Move For Chicago’s Lisa Dent
• Chicago radio pro Lisa Dent has been upped from weekends to middays at iHeartMedia Country WEBG (BIG 95.5)/Chicago, where she will be enjoyed weekdays from 9am to noon. She succeeds Amber “Alabama” Cole, who recently exited.
Dent is an award-winning radio personality, podcaster, voice actor, speaker, wife and mother who notably spent 14 years across the street with CBS Radio (now Entercom) Country WUSN (US99), rising to morning co-host before departing in August 2016 — the same year she was inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame. Dent later launched Lisa Dent Speaks, LLC and built her own studio, The Radio Farm. She joined BIG 95.5 for weekends in June 2018.
“I am so excited to welcome Lisa Dent as midday host for BIG 95.5,” said Matt Scarano, President of iHeartMedia Markets Group’s Chicago Region. “She brings an iconic presence to our team and will be a tremendous asset to our listeners, community and advertisers.”
No less thrilled and excited about Dent’s promotion is BIG 95.5 PD Lance Houston, who said, “We are thrilled to now have Lisa Dent on BIG 95.5 full-time. Lisa is one of the most talented and engaging personalities in Chicago radio history and we are extremely lucky to have her. We heard you Chicagoland, and we are just as excited as you to hear Lisa every weekday morning.” Dent said, “I think Chicago is the best city in America. It’s home for me, and I’m so happy to be back on the radio every day in the city I love, on BIG 95.5, a radio station I love.”
