Big News For Little Tommy
• iHeartMedia Classic Rock KGB/San Diego is excited to welcome market legend Tommy Sablan aboard Sr. Producer of the Bob and Coe Morning Show, assigned a locker next to hosts Bob Buchmann and Coe Lewis.
Sablan grew up in Chula Vista, CA as an avid KGB-FM listener. “It’s a dream come true to be able to work with Bob and Coe on a legendary station like KGB,” Sablan said. “Coe Lewis is the Queen of Rock and Roll and the First Lady of KGB. I have idolized her for decades and it’s a trip I get to work with her, Bob, and Anna, their producer.
Sablan, a.k.a. “Little Tommy” is already very familiar with the layout of the iHeartMedia broadcast complex — he was the longtime Executive Producer of the legendary Jeff and Jer Showgram (and more recently, Jeff & The Showgram) over on AC sister KyXy until June 2017, when the show left the station.
During his many years with the Showgram, which was carried on the late KKYY (Y95), KKLQ (Q106), KMYI (Star 94.1) and two stints at KFMB-FM, Sablan was instrumental in creating promotions like the “Breaking and Entering Christmas” and “Finish Chelsea’s Run.” In 2016 Sablan was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame — the first and only producer to ever receive this honor.
