Chasta Inked For Middays @ KSAN/SF
• Cumulus Classic Rock KSAN (107.7 The Bone)/San Francisco makes it official and anoints Chasta Michaelis as the station’s permanent midday personality. Chasta has served as KSAN’s interim midday host since Bay Area Radio Hall of Famer Steven “The Weedman” Seaweed retired in mid-2017. Along with the midday show, Chasta will retain her existing role on KSAN’s Lamont & Tonelli morning show and continue producing her daily Facebook Live chats from The Bone studios following each morning show.
In making the big announcement, KSAN PD Dominic “Zakk” Zaccagnini said, “Chasta’s skill set created a position as unique as her brand. The Bone is the heritage rock station for the modern era and Chasta is a rare top talent with the creativity, commitment and versatility to grow an audience while also assuming more responsibilities and roles. This is a great example of our company’s commitment to the highest and best use of its talent.”
Chasta remarked, “The Bone was on a short list of legendary stations I always wanted to be a part of. Belonging to this radio family with these radio giants is humbling to say the least. I have poured my heart into my work and the listeners have totally embraced me and have truly become my Bonehead family. For me, the spirit of the radio is the deep human connection you can make as a jock with an audience through the love of music. I’m grateful I was bit by the on-air bug 17 years ago and to be rockin’ The Bone today.”
