Classic Hits Pros In Motion
• Cox Media Group Classic Hits WSRV (97.1 The River)/Atlanta is giving Debra Green her fulltime shot, promoting her from weekends to nights, starting Monday, Jan. 23. Green has been with 97.1 The River since June of 2015; prior to that, she was on-air at Cumulus Media’s WNNX (Rock 100.5) and CMG’s former X107-1.
Chris Eagan, Director of Branding and Programming, commented, “Deb is a great addition to our weekday lineup. Her fresh sound and great content make her the perfect fit for the River at night. I’m proud of how hard she worked to get here!” Green said, “I’ve been a fan of The River since it launched. I’m excited to be a part of it and to be working with such amazing talent.” The River night shift had been the domain of market vet English Nick, who moved up to middays last September.
• iHeartMedia Classic Hits KHKN (BIG 94.9)/Little Rock, AR hires Doug Kramer to host The BIG Fun Morning Show With Kramer, starting Monday, January 23. He spent the past eight years doing mornings at KLAZ/Hot Springs.
BIG 94.9 PD Jeff Cage said, “We are very excited to bring fun back to Little Rock morning radio. As a Little Rock native who knows the community and its listeners, Kramer is the guy to do it!” Kramer remarked, “It’s a dream come true to move home to Little Rock to be a morning personality on BIG 94.9 and raise my family. I can’t wait to start working with the iHeartMedia Little Rock team and get involved in my home town’s community efforts.” Kramer succeeds DJ Taylor, who will continue to do nights on Country cousin KSSN and serve as Online Content Director.
