Denise Plante Joins Denver’s Bull
• Denver media veteran Denise Plante is the new midday personality on iHeartMedia Country KWBL (106.7 The Bull)/Denver. Plante is a familiar presence in Denver media circles and crosses the street after a lengthy run at Bonneville AC KOSI, where she was most recently midday personality. She previously spent many years as KOSI’s morning co-host.
“Welcoming Denise to 106.7 The Bull is the final piece of the puzzle for Denver’s fastest-growing Country station,” said JoJo Turnbeaugh, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Denver Region and PD of 106.7 The Bull. “Few personalities have a brand as strong, and I’m confident that her warm, engaging style will instantly connect with our listeners, both on-air and on our digital platforms.”
Plante is also a familiar face on local television — she’s the host of “Colorado & Company” on NBC 9 News weekday mornings and is also a Lifestyle Consultant for Daily Blast LIVE, which airs nationally on 36 TV stations, including Denver’s KUSA-TV. Plante said, “I’m so excited to join such a dynamic and exciting radio family. The team at 106.7 The Bull and iHeartMedia have made me feel so welcomed and I can’t wait to get back to my country roots and continue being a part of this great Denver radio community.”
• Stand by for the official announcement, but RAMP has learned that current Bull midday personality Chelsea Thomas will moving to afternoon drive, teaming up with APD/MD and existing pm driver Bryan “B-Dub” Washington to form the B-Dub & Chelsea Show, starting Friday, July 20. Thomas joined The Bull in April from Alpha Media Top 40 WDJX/Louisville.
