DJ Laz Totally Joining WMIA/Miami
• iHeartMedia ’90s outlet WMIA (Totally 93.9, All ’90s, All The Time)/Miami has acquired the talents of market icon DJ Laz to do afternoon drive, effective Monday, January 11. Laz joins a line-up that includes Mack In The Morning With Letty B from 6-10am, GiGi Diaz in middays and Michelle Fay from 7-midnight.

Laz, a.k.a. Lazaro Mendez has been mixing and entertaining audiences all over South Florida since the mid-’80s and has collaborated with such artists as Pitbull, Flo Rida, Will Smith, Luther Campbell, 2 Live Crew and Gloria Estefan. His Miami radio career is highlighted by two decades in mornings on WPOW (Power 96), mornings on WRMA (DJ 106.7), and more recently, mornings on Cox Media Top 40 WFLC (HITS 97.3), as well as a stint at KXOL/Los Angeles.
