Fresno Homecoming & Renewal
• iHeartMedia Fresno shared several pieces of good news, the first of which is that Monisha “Mo” Mann has been named as the new 7-midnight personality for Rhythmic KBOS (B95). The appointment signifies a true radio homecoming for Mo, a Central California native who actually began her radio career as an intern at B95 some 15 years ago. She went on to hone her skillz at crosstown KSEQ (Q97), followed by a stint with American General Media Bakersfield doing middays on KKXX (Hits 93.1) and nights on KISV (Hot 94.1) before returning home last summer to do part-time/weekends on B95.
“Mo is an engaging talent, a social media warrior and a fierce competitor,” said Steve Weed, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Fresno. “She’s immediately elevated the excitement level for B95 and our No. 1-rated night show.” Mann remarked, “I am beyond excited and grateful for the opportunity to do nights in my hometown at B95. I look forward to bringing new music to our listeners and I thank the team here in Fresno for believing in me to uphold the standards and ratings of this heritage station.”
• Minutes later, across the hall on Soft AC sister KSOF (Soft Rock 98.9), it was announced that Teri Ann Schlesser has renewed her contract to remain co-host of the Jason & Terri Ann Morning Show, firmly plugged in across from Jason Hurst. Schlesser is a 30-year radio pro who recently celebrated her eight-year anniversary with Soft Rock 98.9. “We’re thrilled that Teri Ann will continue to make Soft Rock 98.9 and the Jason & Teri Ann Morning Show her radio home for many years to come,” said Steve Weed. “Her passion for the brand, our listeners, and the community is remarkable.” Not to be outdone in the excitement department, Schlesser remarked, “I’m so excited to continue my journey with Soft Rock 98.9 and iHeartMedia. The past eight years have been wonderful and challenging and I’ve never had so much fun doing what I love!”
