Gomez New To Nights At Hot 99.5/DC

• iHeartMedia promotes from within and names Nick Gomez as the new 7-midnight jock for Top 40 WIHT (Hot 99.5)/Washington, starting August 22. The shift has technically been open since March, when Emily Sklar stepped down to pursue other opportunities within the company.

“Nick brings an unmatched passion, ambition, talent and creativity to this exciting opportunity in DC,” said Rob Kruz, PD of Hot 99.5. “His energy and enthusiasm combined with his knowledge of all things pop makes him the perfect fit in the Nation’s Capital!”

Gomez earns the transfer and daypart upgrade from Z100/New York, where he has hosted the overnight show since last year. He previously did part-time/swing on Z100 from 2019-2021, weekends on WKSC (103.5 Kiss FM)/Chicago and weekends on PRIDE Radio. In his not-so-spare time Gomez also serves as iHeartMedia Format Center CHR Weekend talent for KDHT (Hits 95.7)/Denver; WAKS (96.5 Kiss FM)/Cleveland; WMKS (HITS 100.3)/Greensboro; WNOK/Columbia, SC; KSLZ (Z107.7)/St. Louis and WZFT (Z104.3)/Baltimore.

“Joining the iconic on-air staff at Hot 99.5, led by Your Morning Show, is a dream come true,” said Gomez. “I’m thrilled to host an evening show that combines a passion for pop music that is driven by listener interaction and features on air, online and social media content based on the D.C. lifestyle.”
