Haberman Comes Home To ALT 949/San Diego

• Alyssa Haberman makes her triumphant return to middays on Audacy Alternative KBZT (ALT 949)/San Diego, effective March 14. Haberman previously did middays on ALT 949 from Oct. 2016 until 2020, when she exited during a round of corporate restructuring. She had also served as ALT 949 Music Director from 2018 to 2020. Since May 2021 she had worked as a Community Manager, Music & Lifestyle, for Monster Energy.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Alyssa back to the ALT 949 airwaves and reintegrate her as a part of our weekday lineup,” said Michael Valenzuela, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy San Diego. “Her ability to captivate her audience and entertain them throughout their workday is a true testament to her talent and we look forward to her connecting with our listeners once again.”

Before making the big move to the west coast in 2016, Haberman did nights at WDJQ (Q92)/Canton, OH. She began her radio adventure at Kent State University’s Black Squirrel Radio in 2011, followed by a stint in the promotions department at iHeartMedia Cleveland.

Haberman commented, “I’m beyond excited to be back on the San Diego airwaves doing what I love and entertaining alternative music fans in America’s Finest City.” The ALT 949 midday show had been tracked by Megan Holiday, who remains on in afternoons on KROQ/Los Angeles and in middays on KKDO (ALT 94.7)/Sacramento.
