It’s A New Country Morning In Ft. Collins

Townsquare Media Country KUAD (New Country 99.1)/Ft. Collins, CO is counting down to the launch of New Country Mornings with Jordan and Michael next Monday, March 11. The show will be hosted by the newly minted duo of Jordan Soto, who most recently worked in Pensacola, FL, and Seattle radio vet Michael Kraig Mason. The team of Soto and Mason will succeed “The Good Morning Guys” — Todd Haring, who left at the end of January, and Country Radio Hall of Famer Brian Gary, who retired at the same time.

Ms. Soto (left) said, “I’m so excited to take this next step in my career with such an innovative team and such an exciting time in new country music. I traded in snowy white beaches for actual snow, and I’m all in — festivals, fishing, off-roading, country swing dancing, snowboarding. I mean I even get to live on a ranch! The mountain sunrises and sunsets are mesmerizing every single day.”

Mason (right) most recently did nights on Hubbard Country KNUC (98.9 The Bull)/Seattle until December. Before that he handled production and video for the Premiere-syndicated Delilah. Mason got his radio start at KKRZ/Portland, OR and later spent five years in afternoon drive on the former KFNK (104.9 The Monkey)/Seattle. He has also worked at WRXL (XL102)/Richmond. “From the moment I arrived in Northern Colorado I was hooked — and not just because of the indisputable beauty,” Mason said. “Huge thanks to my trusted friend Kraig Kitchin, who introduced me to this winning team. I’ve truly never been so excited to work and collaborate with so many big market guns, in such a special place.”

Evan Harrison, Market President of Townsquare Fort Collins, added, “At Townsquare we are completely focused on entertaining and engaging our local community in Northern Colorado. Jordan and Michael are the perfect duo to lead this charge on New Country Mornings. Jordan lives the new country lifestyle completely and is a Colorado native. Like so many of us living here, Michael is new to the area, and he is so eager to dive in to experience it all — together they’ll be sharing real stories about our day to day lives here in NoCo and celebrating New Country with their listeners.”
