Kermit Moonlights At The Boss
• Another day that ends in “y” most likely means more news incoming from Robby Bridges, who has been a very busy dude indeed since joining Press Communications’ Classic Rock combo WWZY/WBHX (107.1 The Boss)/Monmouth Ocean as PD and morning co-host.
Hot on the heels of last week news that he’s acquired tri-state legend Ross Brittain for weekends/swing comes word that Bridges is further bolstering his weekend crew with the addition of “Kermit the DJ.” Kermit, a.k.a. Trevor Marden will smartly hang onto his day job as Executive Producer of The Jim Kerr Rock & Roll Morning Show on iHeartMedia Classic Rock WAXQ (Q104.3)/New York.
Marden (pictured) is a Jersey native who graduated from Monmouth University and later joined WCBS-FM/New York as a promotions staffer and worked his way up to producer, where he was plucked from obscurity by a certain Scott Shannon, who awarded him the nickname “Kermit.” Marden later crossed the street to iHeartMedia as an Executive Producer at News-Talk 710 WOR before joining Jim Kerr’s team.
Bridges said, “We have a world-class, all-star talent line up at 107-1 The Boss with strong personalities in every daypart 24/7. What we needed was a DJ named Kermit! I’m pumped he’s with us, as he’s a true blue radio pro.” Kermit said, “I’m so grateful for this opportunity to be part of Robby’s team on The Boss! Let’s hope I don’t suck.”
