Kiss FM/Cleveland Launches ‘The Jeremiah Show’

• iHeartMedia Top 40 WAKS (96.5 Kiss FM)/Cleveland announced the debut of The Jeremiah Show, weekdays from 2-6pm, starting Monday, May 23. The drivetime show will be hosted by market veteran Jeremiah Widmer, who most recently spent five years in mornings across the street on Audacy Hot AC WQAL (Q104) until last November.

“We’re thrilled to launch The Jeremiah Show on Kiss FM,” said a visibly thrilled Keith Kennedy, Regional SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Cleveland. “Jeremiah is a known Cleveland entity and it’s incredible to have a home-grown talent live in our studios promoting all things Cleveland.”

Widmer was born and raised in Rittman, OH and graduated from The University of Akron. His Northeast Ohio radio history started in 2012 as morning co-host on WDJQ (Q92)/Akron. The following year he moved to Cleveland to do afternoon drive on Audacy AC WDOK (Star 102.1), later crossing the hall to Q104.

Earlier in his career Widmer spent five years in Los Angeles, studying sketch comedy and improv at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre, and made appearances on Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Tonight Show and Ellen. His TV credits also include USA Network’s Burn Notice, and two seasons of FOX’s Hell’s Kitchen.

“It’s such a cool moment to get to be on the station I listened to growing up,” said Widmer. “I’m very excited to be on such a legendary station here in Cleveland. Being on the same station as Elvis Duran is an honor. His support and guidance of our launch has been inspiring.”
