Maddie Takes Middays @ Cat Country

• Hall Communications’ Country WCTK (Cat Country 98.1)/Providence keeps it in the family and promotes Madelyn “Maddie” Grimaldi into the midday shift. She succeeds Meredith Thompson, who recently left the station for one of those mythical “real jobs” outside the radio industry.

Grimaldi is a Rhode Island native and URI graduate who originally joined WTCK as an intern in 2015 and worked her way up to Promotions Assistant and Director of Social Media before earning her way onto the part-time airstaff.

“Maddie told me right away that she wanted to learn how to be on-air,” said Bob Walker, VP of Programming and PD of WCTK. “She showed the patience, determination and willingness to take direction, all while practicing for over a year off-air. Once she started filling in, I knew she was destined for a full-time shift. We are all very proud of her.”
