Maida Comes Home To 93Q

• Cox Media Group Country KKBQ (The New 93Q)/Houston welcomes Katelyn Maida back into the family as the new co-host of The Q Morning Zoo, plugging in across from Tim Tuttle and Erica Rico weekdays from 5-10am CT. She succeeds legendary co-host, Kevin Kline, who retired last Friday, February 5.

Tuttle said, “Katelyn Maida was, hands-down, the most talented person we auditioned. It was an obvious choice and we are so excited for the future of The Q Morning Zoo.” Rico stated, “We are all really looking forward to having another strong female on the team. Katelyn was a perfect fit as she was already a part of our CMG family.”

The move is a homecoming in more ways than one for Maida, a Houston native who got her radio start as a Social Media Producer for KKBQ. She spent the past six years as a co-host (as “Connected K“) on the Hawkeye In The Morning show on Cumulus Country KSCS/Dallas. “I’m beyond excited to come back home to the city where I grew up and join Tim and Erica in waking up Houston,” Maida said. “I’m not just coming back to a previous employer — I’m coming back to my radio family and the family-like atmosphere at CMG Houston is part of what makes this team so successful.”
