Melissa Moran Comes Home To WPCV

• We love a radio homecoming story, and here’s the latest one — Melissa Moran is returning to Hall Communications’ WPCV (97 Country)/Lakeland-Winter Haven, FL as its new midday personality, starting Monday, April 3. Moran formerly co-hosted the WPCV morning show from 2008-2017 — winning CMA and ACM awards during that stint. Prior to her initial run at WPCV, Moran worked at WFLZ/Tampa and WBTS/Atlanta.

“We’re so happy to have Melissa back at WPCV,” said Bob Walker, Vice President of Programming for Hall Communications. “She’s a big-league talent and knows how to connect with our listeners and clients.”

“I’ve really missed radio,” said Moran. “Since leaving WPCV, I’ve become an award-winning audiobook narrator/voiceover talent and I’m also a certified life coach! But I really miss the connections and intimacy that radio can have with its listeners…. plus, it’s a really fun business! I’m happy to be re-joining Hall Communications and all my friends at 97 Country in Lakeland.”

As we recently reported, WPCV afternoon personality Sara Michaels left for an opportunity outside of radio and midday talent Nic Allen moved up to afternoon drive, creating that midday opening.

Effective Monday, April 3 Moran can be welcomed back at mmoran@hallradio.net.
