Miller Changes The Station

Miller Max 2017Sunrise Broadcasting in Wilmington, NC promotes from within, as Max Miller transitions from nights on Top 40 WAZO (Z107.5) to the prestige of hosting the all-new Max in the Morning show across the hall on Alternative sister WRMR (Modern Rock 98.7). For WRMR PD Paul Cannell, the decision was easy, as he tells RAMP, “This kid just blew me away with his enthusiasm, confidence, and energy. He’s loaded with creative ideas, and there is no learning curve with Max — even though he’s really just getting started in his career, he picks things up instantly. His real passion is Alt/Rock, so it was a natural fit.” Cannell added, “I think we have a potential rock star here. Watch out Seacrest™ — he’s coming for you!”

Miller succeeds Zach McHugh, who last September was propelled upward in market size to the MD/afternoon spot at Entercom Alternative WSFS (104.3 The Shark)/Miami. Miller can be reached at max@modernrock987.com.

• Meanwhile, back at WAZO, Miller’s former night shift has been awarded to another promising up-and-coming talent — say hello to Camryn “Cam” McKenzie, who is upgraded from part-time.
