Mojo Minus Meaghan Mick
• Mojo In The Morning, based at iHeartMedia’s WKQI (Channel 955)/Detroit, bids a fond farewell to popular longtime cast member Meaghan Mick, who announced she’s leaving the show after an eight-year run to pursue a new career path outside of radio.
On Monday, that news became official, and the show posted this love note to Meaghan on Instagram, which reads, in part, “Meaghan, thank you for being the bold, hilarious, and essential part of our mornings. For the past 8 years, you’ve given us moments we’ll forever cherish — the laughter, the honesty, and of course, the iconic ‘Meaghan Minutes.’ You weren’t just part of the show — you were a part of our lives. And through your voice, you’ve impacted so many others in ways you may never fully realize.”
Mick originally got her foot in the radio door in 2010 as an intern with iHeartMedia Toledo, and was elevated to a spot on the morning show on Top 40 WVKS (92.5 Kiss FM) the following year. In June 2017, Kiss FM became became an affiliate of Mojo In The Morning, resulting in the departure of Kiss morning co-hosts Eric Chase and Demetrius Nicodemus, while Mick was retained as the local Mojo cast member, while also annexing PD stripes for Country WCKY in Jan. 2018. She relocated to Detroit in 2023.
In closing, the IG post reads, “While this chapter comes to a close, your story is far from over. We can’t wait to see everything you do next — and we’ll be cheering you on the whole way. We love YOU, Meaghan Mick.”
The search now begins in earnest to locate a talented successor for Meaghan. We are told the official job opening will be posted soon.
