Moose Is Loose Again On 98PXY

• Audacy heritage Top 40 WPXY (98PXY)/Rochester, NY announces a newly reformulated morning show, as the station welcomes back former morning show veteran Phil “Moose” Musumeci, who will join current co-host Brianna “Breezy” Sloth to create… wait for it… PXY Mornings with Moose and Breezy, which debuts on January 3. Moose will succeed Corey James, who recently announced he’s stepping away to pursue other career opportunities.

Moose was born and raised in Rochester and started his radio career at 18 as an intern with 98PXY. He eventually became producer and third mic on the morning show for close to a decade before moving to Los Angeles to pursue his writing and acting career, where he produced, wrote and starred in close to 30 TV and film projects in the last 12 years.

“Moose was such an audience favorite on 98PXY from 2002 to 2011 that we jumped at the chance to bring him back when the opportunity arose,” said Sue Munn, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Rochester. “His energy and wit will be the perfect complement for Breezy on our new morning show.”

Moose noted, “I’ve always been told to never forget where you come from, and as I’ve grown older, I realized that’s what has kept me grounded and in touch with reality after all these years. I have always been proud to call Rochester my home. It’s a city that helped mold me into the person I am today and I am beyond grateful I had an opportunity to have a voice in the community. It’s been an amazing journey thus far and I’m excited for the chance to come home and be able to host mornings on 98 PXY, a radio station I not only love but grew up listening to since I was a child.”
