• Service Broadcasting Urban AC KRNB (Smooth R&B 105.7)/Dallas-Ft. Worth recently soft-launched its new live and local morning show — The New Morning Rush with Claudia & Rudy, featuring Claudia Jordan and Rudy Rush.
Ms. Jordan is best known as a former co-host of the syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show, and Rush is a nationally known stand-up comic who most recently did afternoon drive at iHeartMedia Urban KQBT (93.7 The Beat)/Houston.
To formally acquaint the Dallas-Ft. Worth market to the new show, KRNB produced this introductory video, and on Tuesday, Claudia and Rudy sat down for their first local media interview with the Dallas Morning News.
• Entercom Country WPAW (93.1 The Wolf)/Greensboro, NC has finally located its new morning co-host — say good morning to Amy Reed, who has officially plugged in across the console from Wake Up With The Wolf host Dale O’Brian (right) and Chase Matthews (left).
To reach her new gig, Reed had to boldly cross state lines from her most recent position as APD/midday talent at Alpha Media Top 40 WARQ (Q93.55)/Columbia, SC.
With the morning show now squared away, PD Clay JD Walker has one more large puzzle piece to fill in — afternoon drive.
