Now Entering Bay Country: Danny Miller
• Alpha Media San Jose’s Bay Country simulcast — 94.5 KBAY/San Jose & 92.1 KKDV/Walnut Creek, CA is pleased to announce the addition of market veteran Danny Miller as the station’s first local evening personality, weekdays from 6-pm, starting Monday, June 20, following recently named APD/afternoon personality Isaac “Brooks” Wenzel and midday talent Emily Harlan.
Miller already knows his way around the South Bay — and the KBAY studio — he used to do afternoons on Classic Hits KBAY before its flip. Miller also serves as the in-stadium announcer for the San Francisco 49ers, San Jose Sharks, and San Jose Earthquakes.
Alpha Media San Jose OM/PD Bo Matthews commented, “Danny was one of the first calls I made after the flip to Bay Country and I will never forget his joyful reaction. He has a true love for Country music and I knew that he would be a perfect fit for Bay Country. Including someone with rich market heritage was important for us. Danny is the voice of the Bay Area!”
Alpha Media San Jose VP/Market Manager David Drutz said, “Like just about everyone else in the Bay Area, I’m a massive Danny Miller fan and know he’ll be a perfect fit for what we’re building with Bay Country. As great as Danny was on Classic Hits Bay FM, he’ll sound even better on the Bay Area’s only Country radio station, Bay Country!”
Miller commented, “As a San Jose native, I’m so looking forward to returning to one of the best formats in radio and reconnecting with such an amazing community. I want to thank David, Bo and the entire Alpha team for this incredible opportunity.”
