Power 106/L.A. Inks Nick Cannon For Mornings
Meruelo Media just announced that it has hired Nick Cannon to do mornings on KPWR (Power 106)/Los Angeles. Nick Cannon Mornings launches Monday, June 17 and will air weekdays from 6-10am PT.

Cannon is currently the host and Executive Producer of Fox’s No. 1 hit TV show, The Masked Singer as well as the creator, host, and Executive Producer of MTV’s Wild ‘N Out, which will begin production on its 15th season later this year. He also heads Ncredible Entertainment and has helped discover and develop artists like H.E.R., Kehlani, Soulja Boy and Justin Bieber. Cannon also has prior major market radio experience, having done mornings on former CBS Radio Top 40 WXRK (92.3 NOW)/New York from 2010 to 2012.

• Cannon replaces J Cruz, who left in April and is now doing afternoon drive on iHeartMedia Urban rival KRRL (REAL 92.3)/Los Angeles. Cannon will be formally introduced on the air today at noon and will hold a press conference at the Power 106 studios Monday morning at 10:30am. Cannon is represented by Michael Goldman, Del Shaw and CAA.
