Power 95.3/Orlando Launches ‘Danie & Kevin Mornings’

• Cox Media Group Top 40 WPYO (Power 95.3)/Orlando is maximizing the potential of afternoon talent Danie B and evening entertainer Kevin Kon by combining their talents and moving them to morning drive — the newly minted Danie & Kevin Mornings debuts at 6am on July 27. They will succeed The Wake Up Show with Estee Martin and DJ Nailz. Ms. Martin was recently named PD of the cluster’s newly launched Spanish Hot AC WOEX (Éxitos 96.5), and Nailz slides into afternoon drive.

Danie are Kevin are both market veterans, having previously worked together across the street at Entercom’s former Top 40 WQMP (101.9 AMP Radio) — Danie did afternoons and Kon did nights there — until the station flipped to Alternative in Nov. 2017. They joined Power 95.3 in 2018.

Nailz, a.k.a. Marc Dixon (left) started his radio career at WPYO as an intern back in the day and worked his way up to hosting the station’s No. 1 night show. His ratings success earned him a promotion to nights at sister WEDR (99 Jamz)/Miami. Two years later, in Oct. 2016, he returned to Power 95.3 as morning co-host.
