• Curtis Media Group Adult Hits WBBB (96.1 BBB)/Raleigh has hired market vet Madison Lane as its new morning host, replacing Morgan Thomas.

Lane got her radio start on her hometown station, WRXO-AM/Roxboro, NC while she was still in high school. Her previous Raleigh stops include Radio One Urban AC WFXC/WFXK (Foxy 107.1/104.3), Capitol Broadcasting AC WRAL (Mix 101.5) and iHeartMedia Top 40 WDCG (G105). More recently she worked at Religious WRSN/Lebanon, TN. In 2006, Lane stepped away from radio to raise her young children.

Curtis Media Group SVP/GM David Stuckey commented, “From our very first meeting, I knew Madison was the perfect fit for mornings on WBBB. Madison brings familiarity and star power to the fastest growing station in the Triangle. Her life experiences and knowledge of the Raleigh-Durham market make her the right person to solidify WBBB as the dominant radio brand in the Triangle.” Lane said, “It was such a blessing to be able to have some time away to raise my kids and focus on my family. This new chapter of my life is exciting and WBBB feels like home. I love the awesome variety of music and the loyalty to the community. I’m so excited to be a part of the team.”

• Alpha Media Sports-Talk WMEN (640 The Hurricane)/West Palm Beach welcomes The Andy Slater Show to afternoon drive, weekdays from 3-5pm. The move marks a radio homecoming for Slater, who previously enjoyed a six-year run at WMEN. He most recently did afternoons at iHeartMedia Sports-Talk 940 WINZ/Miami.

Paul Mason, PD of 640 The Hurricane, stated, “Nobody has their finger on the pulse of the South Florida Sports scene like Andy Slater. His proven track record of breaking local sports stories, inside sources, and his massive Poker Tournament is a huge win for 640 The Hurricane.”

A clearly thrilled Slater remarked, “I’m thrilled to bring my show to 640 The Hurricane. Having the opportunity to speak directly to South Florida sports fans every afternoon is a privilege that I don’t take for granted.” Slater joins an already stacked lineup that includes Dan Patrick, Colin Cowherd, the New York Yankees, Miami Hurricanes and Florida Panthers.
