Scott, Zytle In Motion
• Congrats to Portland, OR radio icon Dave Scott, who just added a new station to his virtual on-air portfolio — Scott famously spent 14 years co-host mornings on Alpha Media Triple A KINK/Portland, followed by a stint in afternoons at crosstown KGON. More recently he started working remotely from his killer home studio and has been doing the afternoon show at Bicoastal Media Triple A KYVL (The Valley 106.3)/Medford/Ashland OR. This week, Scott doubled his radio footprint by picking up the morning show at Combined Communications’ KLRR (101.7 The Adult Alternative)/Bend, OR.
“It’s official — there is no going back,” Scott tells RAMP. “It’s a lot easier to handle those morning hours when you are rocking the bunny slippers! A big thank you to Jeremy Groh for the opportunity. We haven’t seen each other since I left KINK back in 2014.”
• After a month on the sidelines, Colorado Springs, CO radio pro Aaron Zytle is back in action today as he debuts as the new morning personality at Mountain Radio Group’s KQSC (Mountain Country 107.3 & 1530). Zytle spent the past 16 years across the street at Bahakel Communications’ Alternative KRXP, rising to PD/afternoons until his departure in early February.
“Mountain Country is a locally focused, locally owned Red Dirt/Texas Country station; it’s very unique here in Colorado Springs,” Zytle tells RAMP. “I’m very happy to be back on the air in Colorado Springs and I look forward to the challenge of a morning show and also helping Mountain Country get to… the next level™ and beyond.”
