Shactman Named AM Co-Host On WTIC/Hartford
• Entercom News-Talk 1080 WTIC-AM/Hartford announced the arrival of television veteran Brian Shactman as its new morning co-host. Shactman plugs in alongside Ray Dunaway to create the cleverly named Mornings with Ray and Brian, weekdays from 5:30 to 9am ET.
Shactman most recently worked as an anchor for NBC10 Boston and the New England Cable News since 2014. There he created and hosted a nightly political show, Primary Source, and has anchored weekend evenings on NBC10 Boston since the onset of the pandemic. Prior to that, Shactman was on-air at MSNBC, CNBC, WVIT-TV (NBC Connecticut), and ESPN Radio.
“I’m excited to welcome Brian back to Connecticut to join our morning show program alongside Ray Dunaway,” said Stephanie Perl, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Hartford. “He has a proven track record of entertaining and capturing his audience, and his energy will be a great addition to our show.” Shactman said, “I’ve been listening to Ray for years, and WTIC is always my first stop when I get in the car. To now be a part of the WTIC team is an absolute thrill. Connecticut — the whole state — is a community. WTIC is a huge part of that community, and I’m excited to help people start their day in this great state.”
