Star 94.1/San Diego Launches Jesse & Tati

• iHeartMedia Hot AC KMYI (Star 94.1)/San Diego announced the debut of Jesse and Tati in the Morning, effective Monday, August 26. The new show combines the talents of existing Star 94.1 morning host Jesse Lozano and market vet Tati Santiago, currently co-host of Frankie & Tati In The Morning with Frankie V. across the hall on Rhythmic KSSX (JAM’N 95.7). Tati will succeed Delana Bennett, who, as we recently reported, is moving to afternoon drive on Star 94.1. “Jesse and Tati in the Morning will be an entertaining, San Diego-centric morning show that focuses on relatability, giving listeners a great variety of music to get their day started,” said Joe Haze, PD of Star 94.1 and KHTS (Channel 93.3).

Tati began her radio career at KIKI in her hometown of Honolulu. In 2006 she moved to San Diego to do mornings at XHTZ (Z90), and in 2013, she was hired by CBS Radio to join Pablo Sato in mornings on WPGC/Washington. In June 2016, Pablo and Tati returned to San Diego to do mornings on JAM’N 95.7, and in 2017, Sato moved to afternoons. Got all that?

Lozano is a San Diego native who began his radio career at Channel 93.3 as “Boy Toy Jesse.” In 2007, Jesse moved to Los Angeles to do afternoon drive at KIIS-FM. While maintaining his afternoon drive show at KIIS-FM, Jesse moved home to San Diego in 2012.

Tati said, “From beginning my radio career in Hawaii to now being able to work mornings with Jesse Lozano on Star is something I could never have dreamt up. I’m excited to interact, laugh and dig the ‘sleepies’ out of my eyes with the San Diego community every morning.” Lozano remarked, “I’ve been a fan of Tati’s for a very long time and I feel so lucky to be teaming up with her.
