Stephen Clark Leaves WOMC/Detroit

• Stephen Clark has stepped down as co-host of the Stephen & JoAnne morning show at Entercom Classic Hits WOMC/Detroit. Clark joined WOMC two years ago, shortly after his retirement from WXYZ-TV after 16 years as anchor of the 6 and 11pm newscasts. Clark is also an experienced singer-songwriter who now plans to focus on his musical career in Nashville.

In a Facebook post, Clark said, “I plan to combine my new radio skills, my TV experience and my love of original music on a few projects that get me closer to my music goals. Plus there’s a good chance you’ll hear me filling in on WOMC and our sister station WYCD in the months to come.”

No replacement for Clark has been named, yet. For now, co-host Joanne Purtan is rolling solo on the rebranded WOMC Mornings With JoAnne Purtan.
