The Return Of ‘Albie Dee Cee’

Albie Dee is making his triumphant return to Washington, DC, hired by Entercom Classic Hits WIAD (94.7 The Drive) to drive the District home, weekdays from 3-7pm, starting Monday, Nov. 12.

Albie spent the past seven months in Tampa with Neil Ardman‘s NIA Broadcasting as PD/afternoon personality at Classic R&B WTMP-AM & 97.5 FM (W248CA). Before that he was Operations Manager of Adams Radio’s cluster in Salisbury/Ocean City, MD and PD of Rhythmic WOCQ (OC104) and Oldies KOOL 104.3/105/1.

Needless to say, the DC/Baltimore region is very familiar turf for Albie, whose extensive local radio history includes many years of service on WPGC, WIHT (Hot 99.5), WARW (94.7 The Arrow), WTGB (94.7 The Globe) and nationally on XM. He also worked at WIAD during its previous incarnation as 94.7 Fresh FM. Albie also spent some time in Baltimore at WZBA (100.7 The Bay) and WXYV WWMX (Mix 106.5). Earlier in his career Albie plugged in at WCCC and WKSS/Hartford.

In making the announcement, Steve Davis, VP of Programming for Entercom DC and PD of The Drive, said, “Albie Dee is a radio legend in D.C., and I am beyond excited to have him return to the market as the first personality on 94.7 The Drive,” adding, “This will be fun!” Davis expects to make further talent additions before the holidays.

A jubilant Albie exclaimed, “I am so excited to come back home to the DMV to play on the radio. I wonder if Steve and [Entercom DC SVP/Market Manager] Phil Zachary are off their meds! Seriously, I can’t wait to say ‘It’s me, it’s me, it’s Albie Dee, rocking The DMV so viciously on 94. 7 The Drive!’
