WMMJ/DC Welcomes ‘VJ In The Midday’
Radio One Urban AC WMMJ (Majic 102.3)/Washington welcomes Victoria “Vic Jagger” Davis aboard to fill the midday vacancy — “VJ In The Midday” debuted yesterday. Born and raised in The District, Jagger began her radio career in 2003 with Radio One and The Russ Parr Morning Show as assistant producer and part-time personality. In 2008, she was upped to a full-time cast member on the syndicated show. She was later named PD/MD for Parr’s syndicated weekend countdown show, On The Air. Davis also did a solo show every Sunday on sister WYKS/Washington and in 2013 launched her own entertainment and lifestyle site, TheGabulousLife.com.
PD Kashon Powell commented, “I’m excited to have Vic take over middays on Majic 102.3. I’m confident that Vic’s talent, energy and passion for the format will resonate with our listeners.” Davis remarked, “I’m beyond excited to join the Majic 102.3 team as the midday personality in the city where I was born and raised. I want to thank Kashon Powell, Jeff Wilson and Jay Stevens for this amazing opportunity. I am so ready to get the DMV through their workday!” Davis replaces Michel Wright, who left in September.
