Z100/New York Makes On-Air Changes

• iHeartMedia Top 40 WHTZ (Z100)/New York announced several significant on-air moves, starting with the news that company veteran Crystal Rosas will join Z100’s Maxwell to create The Maxwell and Crystal Show in afternoon drive, effective June 1. They will replace former pm driver Mo’ Bounce, who left in April.

Rosas (left) earns the 3,000-mile transfer from sister KYLD (Wild 94.9)/San Francisco, where she most recently did nights. Maxwell (center) said, “There aren’t enough words to describe how excited I am to be working with the super talented Crystal Rosas. We cannot wait to take our show to the next level, and I think Crystal and I will make a great team.” Rosas remarked, “My heart always knew that NYC is where I’m meant to be, so it’s truly an honor to call the legendary Z100 my new home.”

And there’s more — Z100 also welcomes Josh Martinez home to New York to do nights, beginning May 24. Martinez (right) was most recently PD and afternoon talent on sister WKFS (Kiss 107)/Cincinnati. He’s also a host on the nationally syndicated Hit Nation show. Martinez said, “Growing up in Brooklyn and Staten Island, the dream was to always be on Z100, and thanks to the amazing team at iHeartMedia, my boyhood dream has come true.”

As part of these changes, Shelley Rome will do 10pm-2am, followed by Nick Gomez in overnights, effective immediately.
