Mathews Named PD, WLTO/Lexington
• Colin Mathews has been hired as the new Program Director of Cumulus Top 40 WLTO (Hot 102.5)/Lexington, KY.
Mathews arrives in Lexington from equally charming Ft. Wayne, IN, where he was doing mornings on Federated Media Hot AC 97.3 WMEE. The new gig marks a return to the Cumulus fold for Mathews — he previously co-hosted Mornings With Colin & Anna on Cumulus Country WMDH (NASH FM 102.5)/Muncie, IN, and he started his career as a producer for Bob & Marianne in the Morning on Cumulus AC WRRM (Warm 88.5)/Cincinnati.
Scott Frazier, VP/Market Manager, Cumulus Lexington, said, “Colin’s experience, enthusiasm and engaging on-air presence will be well-received in our market. Can’t wait to see what he brings to both the listeners and our Cumulus radio cluster in Central KY.”
Mathews commented, “While working as a morning show host for the past seven years, I’ve had PD after PD say that I would be a programmer someday — and that time has come! Mathews succeeds Patrick Scott, who in December earned transfer to Cincinnati to program sister WNNF (Cat Country 94.1).
