2024 Radio Talent Institutes
• National Radio Talent System (NRTS), a division of RAB, announced five Radio Talent Institutes scheduled to take place in person this year across various college campuses in late spring and early summer: GAB Radio Talent Institute at Grady College, University of Georgia (May 13-18); IBA Radio Talent Institute at Columbia College (May 13-18); Confer Radio Talent Institute at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania (May 20-25); KBA Radio Talent Institute at Western Kentucky University (June 3-8); and Kellar Radio Talent Institute at Appalachian State University (June 3-8).
Initially developed by NRTS Founder Dan Vallie, this unique hands-on and immersive program enables students to participate in sessions, that include career disciplines including on-air delivery, sports, news, promotions, production, podcasting, engineering, digital and sales, as well as completion of RAB’s Radio Marketing Professional certification course.
In 2023, the National Radio Talent System successfully produced three radio talent institutes at Appalachian State University, Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and Grady College at the University of Georgia. “Following last year’s success, we are excited to plan and produce five Radio Talent Institutes in 2024,” said Erica Farber, President & CEO, RAB. “Students will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best in radio, network and connect with leading broadcasting professionals, and jumpstart their careers.”
