Allgeier Named GM Of Leighton Winona

• Leighton Broadcasting has hired veteran radio executive Jim Allgeier as General Manager of the company’s five stations in scenic Winona, MN — Country KHWK (99.3 The Hawk), Classic Country KHWK-AM, Hot AC KGSL (KG-95.3), News-Talk KWNO and Classic Hits KRIV (101.1 The River).

In making the announcement, Stephanie Theisen, VP of Sales and Marketing for Leighton Broadcasting said, “Jim is an accomplished media expert with experience in radio and beyond. The addition of a radio veteran like Jim, with over 19 consecutive years in the business will provide the direction and leadership we have been seeking for our Winona market.”

Allgeier relocates to Minnesota from his hometown of Ft. Wayne, IN, where he spent the past seven years as Market Manager for Federated Media’s six-station group. Earlier in his career Allgeier spent 15 years in the billboard business in sales, sales management and as a GM.
