Beasley Says ‘Dinner’s For Winners’

Beasley Media Group proudly announced the winners of the company’s annual Outstanding Achievement Awards, which were presented on Wednesday, August 21 during a special dinner at the company’s annual Management Meeting at the Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia. The celebration honors the outstanding achievements and contributions made by individual employees and radio stations over the preceding twelve months. The evening featured entertainment by Warner Music Nashville’s Hunter Hayes with an opening performance by Triple Tiger recording artist Gone West.

Now, let’s meet your 2019 Winners: Mary Menna (Market Manager of the Year/Boston); WMMR/Philadelphia (Station of the Year, Large Market); WDHA-FM/Morristown, NJ (Station of The Year, Medium Market); Paul Blake (Director of Sales of the Year/Philadelphia); Mike Thomas, WBZ-FM/Boston (Program Director of the Year); Rachel Pitts (Digital Content Professional of the Year/Tampa); Chris Lobono (Digital Sales Professional of the Year/Boston); Keith Smeal (Technology Award/Philadelphia) and John Coury (Market Controller of the Year/Boston). Legendary WMGK/Philadelphia midday personality Debbi Calton, who is retiring on December 6, was also recognized for her many contributions to the station and the industry over the past 26 years, and WMMR/Philadelphia was honored for its recent yearlong 50th Anniversary celebration.

“Our annual Outstanding Achievement Awards dinner and ceremony recognizes the outstanding contributions made by our incredible employees and stations who give their ‘Beasley Best’ on a daily basis,” said Beasley CEO Caroline Beasley. “We are so very proud to have them all in our radio family.”
