Bennett New Chief Judge, Radio Mercury Awards

• The Radio Mercury Awards is pleased to announce Mitch Bennett, Executive Creative Director, Baldwin&, as the 2024 Chief Judge for the 33rd annual Radio Mercury Awards competition.

In his role as Baldwin&’s Executive Creative Director, Bennett oversees creative efforts for clients including Bridgestone Motorcycle Tires, Epic Games, Gaia Herbs, KIOTI Tractors, Long John Silver’s, Ponysaurus Brewing Company, Videri Chocolate Factory, Volvo Trucks and Zulily. His past projects include creating thousands of unique songs for every name on personalized Coke bottles for The Coca-Cola Company, helping Mellow Mushroom Pizza stalk its social media followers, and launching “Radio Recliner,” a digital radio station that helped assisted living residents stay connected through audio during the pandemic and more. Bennett’s work has been recognized by Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, Clios, Art Directors Club, Radio Mercury Awards, and Time magazine’s Ads of the Year, among others.

“It’s such an honor to be named Chief Judge for a show I love so much,” Bennett said. “I’ve always been fascinated with the tough assignment of writing a radio ad great enough to win at the Radio Mercury Awards. It’s a challenging medium with nowhere to hide — just concept, writing, and production. They all have to align perfectly. I can’t wait to gather the jury and listen to this year’s crop of contenders.”

“We are so grateful for Mitch’s continued support of the awards and are thrilled for him to serve as chief judge,” said Erica Farber, President & CEO, RAB, and Chair of the Radio Creative Fund. “Our team is looking forward to hearing some amazing work in the 2024 competition.”

Awards categories for the 2024 Radio Mercury Awards will be announced in early January along with Call for Entry guidelines and deadlines. For more information, click here.
