Brewster Joins Curtis Media Raleigh As EVP/GM
• Curtis Media Group welcomes veteran radio executive Jonathan Brewster to Raleigh as the newly named Executive Vice President of Country WQDR, Adult Hits WBBB, Classic Hits WKIX, Top 40 WPLW, the Triangle Traffic Network and CMG Digital Solutions.
In making the introduction, Curtis Media Group President & COO Trip Savery commented, “I’ve known Jonathan for a few years now, and I’m very pleased to welcome him to Raleigh. His senior management experience will be very valuable to us as we continue our growth in radio, events and digital.”
The new gig means a change of three time zones for Brewster, who was most CEO of El Dorado Broadcasters, which owns stations in California and Arizona. Prior to that, he served as CEO of Cherry Creek Media, which at one time had 56 stations in 11 markets, and where he successfully integrated their digital sales efforts. Earlier in his career, Brewster spent 11 years as SVP of Qantum Communications’ Southeastern Region.
Brewster, a current board member of the RAB and the Southern California Broadcasters Association, noted, “Curtis Media is one of the nation’s truly unique media companies. Their commitment to serving North Carolina is profound and I’m excited to join the team.”
