Cumulus Elevates Boyd To RVP, Adds 4 Markets
• Cumulus Media has promoted 25-year company veteran Don Boyd to Regional Vice President, expanding his oversight to include Baton Rouge, Lafayette, & New Orleans, LA, and Columbus-Starkville, MS. He will continue to serve in his existing role as RVP/Market Manager over Mobile, AL, Ft. Walton Beach & Pensacola, FL.
Bob Walker, Cumulus President of Operations, said, “We are excited to expand Don’s role in the region. He is an accomplished leader that helps markets focus on how to help clients grow their business with unique partnerships with our brands and our digital solutions. We are eager to see the impact he will have on the broader region.”
Boyd joined Cumulus in 2001 as General Sales Manager for the company’s Nashville group, going on to serve as VP of Advertising for Dickey Publishing from 2008-2010. In 2014, Boyd was named General Sales Manager for Cumulus Atlanta. In 2018, Boyd was promoted to VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Mobile, and in 2023, he was promoted to Regional Vice President with expanded leadership duties over Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola, FL.
Boyd commented, “I’m very excited to take on this expanded role. We’ve got top-performing radio stations, strong digital capabilities, and a great team in place. Looking forward to relocating to Baton Rouge and getting to work across these markets.”

• Cumulus Columbus-Starkville’s four stations are: Country WKOR (NASH FM 94.9); Urban WMXU (Mix 106.); Top 40 WNMQ (Q103.1); and Rock WSMS (99.9 The Fox).
• Cumulus Mobile’s five stations include: Top 40 97.5 WABD; Urban WBLX; Urban AC 104.1 WDLT; Gospel WGOK-AM (Gospel 900); and Sports-Talk WXQW (Jox Mobile 660).
