Dove Migrates To Alpha Media Portland
• Veteran Portland, OR radio executive Robert Dove has been named as the new SVP/Market Manager for Alpha Media’s radio group in its home market of Portland. He will succeed current Market Manager Lisa Decker, who will be retiring at the end of the year after seven years with Alpha.
With a career that spans nearly four decades, Dove most recently served as Region President of iHeartMedia’s Pacific Northwest Region. He got his start in sales with Taft Broadcasting and has also worked at KKRZ/Portland.
When introducing Dove, Alpha Media President & CEO Bob Proffitt commented, “I am very excited to have Robert lead us to new heights, opportunities, and successes. He knows Portland like no other broadcaster, has deep relationships and knowledge of our city’s intricacies, and will be a great addition to our team of Market Managers all across America.”
Dove, who starts on Jan. 1, stated, “I’m very excited to join the Alpha Media team. As a native Portlander, having the chance to work with some of Portland radio’s most iconic brands is very rewarding and fulfilling. I can’t wait to get started.”
A graduate of Washington State University, Dove was previously recognized as Broadcaster of the Year by the Oregon Association of Broadcasters and was a 2023 recipient of the Hall of Achievement Award at the Edward R. Murrow College of Communications.
