Boldon Ready For What’s Next

RAMP has learned that Emily Boldon has resigned from her position with CMG Atlanta, effective Dec. 31. She has not revealed her future plans yet.

Boldon announced her intentions in a Facebook post that reads, in part, “The end of the year is always a great time to reflect on accomplishments in the past and look toward opportunities for the future. During my almost two years with Cox Media Group in Atlanta, we’ve enjoyed some incredible milestones: The River picked up its first-ever Marconi Award nomination and has been consistently the #1 rated station in the market. Kiss won the Marconi Award for Major Market Station of the Year and B98.5 has been recognized as one of the best sounding AC stations in America. There is a lot to be proud of, and I am honored to have been by their sides during these amazing accomplishments!”

Boldon joined CMG Atlanta in October 2022 in the dual role of Director of Operations for CMG Atlanta and Corporate Director of AC & Hot AC Content. Before that she notably spent two decades with Cumulus Media, programming AC WWLI (Lite Rock 105)/Providence and rising to VP of AC Formats & Stratus Music Scheduling before departing in March 2022.

In closing, Boldon said, “Looking to the future… my personal focus is shifting and that means that my time working with these great stations, and even better people, is coming to an end. I am touched by my colleagues for their partnership and appreciate my great leaders — Rob Babin and Chris Eagan — who are supportive of my decision and have asked me to lead these stations through the holiday. I’m not ready to announce my next ‘big thing’ yet, but after taking some time in January to relax, recharge and be with family, you can trust that I will.” Looking ahead, Boldon can be contacted at Emilyboldon1@gmail.com.
