Garras Elevated To VP/GM Of KXLY Brands

• Spokane, WA-based KXLY Brands, a division of Morgan Murphy Media, announced two major developments that further strengthen its position in the Inland Northwest advertising community: 1) KXLY Brands has secured the rights to operate FOX affiliate KAYU-TV, and 2) Tery Garras, VP of Radio for Morgan Murphy Media, has been elevated to VP/GM of the entire KXLY Brands operation.

The expansion brings together ABC affiliate KXLY-TV, KAYU-TV, seven market-leading radio stations, and Phase 3 Digital under unified leadership, creating an unmatched local media offering for advertisers throughout the Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, and broader Inland Northwest region.

It was concurrently announced that longtime KXLY-TV VP/GM Teddie Gibbon will step down after a remarkable 44-year career.

“Following the foundation that Teddie built for our organization is both an honor and tremendous responsibility,” said Garras (left), who began her career with the company in 1996 as Director of Radio Sales, and has progressed through increasingly senior positions, including General Sales Manager, Market Manager, and since 2022, Vice President of Radio. She added, “This unified structure creates unprecedented opportunities for our advertising partners. With ABC, FOX, seven top radio stations, and comprehensive digital services under one roof, we can now offer advertisers seamless, integrated campaigns that reach audiences across every platform they use. Our clients will benefit from simplified planning, coordinated messaging, and the most comprehensive reach available in the Inland Northwest market.”

“This expansion perfectly demonstrates our commitment to serving the Inland Northwest with unmatched local media solutions,” said Brian Burns, President & CEO of Morgan Murphy Media. “Tery’s leadership, combined with our team’s proven track record of innovation and community service, positions KXLY Brands to deliver even greater value to our advertising partners and the communities we serve. In fact, we’ve already received great response in unifying our brands. Our local market offerings and reach are now truly unmatched in the region.”
